Xiaomi's electric vehicle arm has taken a significant step toward global expansion with the official launch of its overseas website and social media channels on the afternoon of August 26. The fully English-language site provides a comprehensive overview of the brand's story, key achievements, global research and development footprint, and manufacturing capabilities, prominently featuring the message "Officially coming to Europe in 2027."
This digital milestone signals a notable acceleration in the company's globalization strategy, positioning the automaker for its planned European market entry in the coming years. The website showcases several flagship products currently in Xiaomi's EV lineup, highlighting the impressive performance credentials of its performance-oriented models.
Among the standout features displayed on the new platform, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype has secured fourth place overall on the Nürburgring Nordschleife leaderboard with a lap time of 6:22.091. Additionally, the production version of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, equipped with the optional track package, set a new lap record for production electric vehicles at the famed German circuit in 2025, clocking in at 7:04.957.
The website also presents the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, a pure electric intelligent concept supercar developed specifically for the Gran Turismo simulation platform at the invitation of series producer Kazunori Yamauchi. This concept vehicle made its official debut at the Mobile World Congress in March of this year, showcasing Xiaomi's design capabilities and technological innovation in the performance EV segment.
To date, Xiaomi's EV division has delivered over 700,000 vehicles as of July 30, 2026, with the first-generation SU7 accounting for 381,000 units delivered. Notably, the SU7 secured the top sales position in China's passenger car market for models priced above 200,000 yuan during 2025, demonstrating strong domestic market traction.
The launch of this overseas platform comes after the company's earlier announcement confirming its official entry into the European market in 2027. Industry analysts view this digital presence as a critical preparatory step in executing the company's European strategy, establishing brand awareness and consumer engagement ahead of physical market entry.
