Intuit's Reset Will Take Time

1222 ET - Intuit's efforts to address recent headwinds will likely take longer to work through, given its challenges are structural, Stifel analysts say in a note. The company needs to overhaul its go-to-market strategy for attracting new customers after its TurboTax offering lost customers to cheaper DIY-alternatives, with similar acquisition and retention issues extending to other parts of the business, the analysts say, pointing to a slowdown in Intuit's online paying customer growth. Such a reset will take time, and Intuit shares will likely lag other large-cap application stocks in the meantime, the analysts say.
