FDA Approves Test to Identify Gastroesophageal Cancer Patients Eligible for Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Ziihera

The US Food and Drug Administration has approved usage of Roche's diagnostics tests to identify HER2-positive metastatic gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma patients who may be eligible for treatment with Jazz Pharmaceuticals' (JAZZ) Ziihera, Roche said Wednesday.

Roche further said that two Ziihera-containing regimens are now FDA approved for the first-line treatment of adults with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic HER2-positive GEA.

Shares of Jazz Pharmaceuticals were down 4.3% in Wednesday trading.
