Amazon (AMZN)-backed Anthropic is calling on data center partners to accelerate capacity deployment as faster access to computing infrastructure could strengthen revenue and margins ahead of a planned initial public offering, The Information reported Sunday.
Anthropic is set to supply Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google AI server chips to Hut 8's (HUT) Louisiana data center starting in Q2 of 2027, and accelerating the launch of the site by one month could add at least $1.3 billion in revenue, the report said.
According to the report, Anthropic has committed to leasing 15 gigawatts of data center capacity from Amazon Web Services, Google, SpaceX's (SPCX) SpaceXAI and other cloud providers. The company also signed a multiyear cloud deal with AI infrastructure provider Iren (IREN), the report said, citing people familiar with the relationship.
Anthropic, Hut 8, Iren, Google and SpaceX did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
